High-precision sensor supplier Micro-Epsilon has extended its true-colour recognition CFO series with a new controller, the colorSENSOR CFO250.
With a wide range of sensor heads to choose from, the CFO250 is suitable for high-speed processes such as the monitoring of mixing processes (granulates and powders) and for quality inspection in filling plants. Micro-Epilon says the controller offers a faster raw measurement data output of up to 500Hz.
The CFO250 performs colour evaluations at speeds (measuring rates) of up to 30kHz. In the process, taught colours are compared with the current measurement value, controllers are internally evaluated (colour detected/not detected) and output via the digital switching outputs.
In addition to the evaluated result, the unevaluated raw data can also be provided in Lab or XYZ colour spaces at up to 500Hz via UDP, RS232 or USB interface. Using a Micro-Epsilon-specific simplified binary 3-byte protocol, the data can be transferred directly to a PLC for further processing.
CFO250 offers advanced evaluation for high-speed processes, providing fast raw measurement data output in Lab or XYZ colour space at up to 500Hz. It enables monitoring of mixing processes in industries like granulate and powder production.
The trigger-based output reduces data volumes, and the web interface allows easy setup of trigger functions and adaptation to different measurement situations. The controller is suitable for applications requiring precise and real-time evaluation to prevent contamination and achieve desired colours.
